Portland, Oregon is one of the West's great cities. While it doesn't have the scale and size of San Francisco or Seattle, it does have a wide range of neighborhoods, an internationally acclaimed dining scene, incredible recreation opportunities including the largest urban park in the US, Forest Park.

The Willamette River cuts through the city dividing it into an Eastside and a Westside. Burnside Street in the middle of downtown cuts the city into a North and South side. Therefore, if you are West of the river and North of Burnside, you'll find yourself, in the parlance of Portlanders, in NW Portland.

An hour from the beach and an hour from the mountains, Portland is well located for those that live an active lifestyle. In addition, Portland has an impressive arts and music community, with several theaters including Portland Center Stage, the Artists Repertory Theater, the Portland Center for the Performing Arts, and Keller Auditorium. Summer shines with a number of waterfront festivals, including the Rose Festival, Blues Fest, The Bite of Oregon ,and more. The Oregon Zoo and OMSI are two of the many favorite family destinations.
